The Pool at The Redwood Club

PoolDid you know that the Redwood Club in Petaluma has an indoor pool where we host a variety of different fitness classes? Our adults only  pool is for lap swimming or taking an aqua-related fitness class. The pool is temperature regulated, so you are always comfortable–great for those chilly days.

Aquatic exercise programs are very beneficial. They are ideal for people dealing with chronic pain because water-based exercises are low-impact and help alleviate pressure on your joints. They are also perfect for anyone looking to switch up their exercise routine. Aquatic exercise helps you burn calories; improve your endurance; increase muscle strength; reduce stress, and decrease anxiety.  

If you are interested in enrolling in a water-based exercise class, the Redwood Club offers a variety of options including:

  • Aqua Aerobics

This class is a great workout for anyone that wants a high calorie burn, low impact workout. It is also particularly beneficial for people that may be recovering from an injury because it is safe on your joints. Also note that for this class, you do not need to know how to swim.

  • Aqua Zumba

If you think taking a Zumba class on land is fun, give it a try in the water! Aqua Zumba provides an invigorating workout and is the perfect blend of the Zumba formula/philosophy and the disciplines of traditional aqua fitness. The class is safe but challenging because it provides cardio-conditioning and body toning.

  • AQUA Sports Conditioning

For those of you that are looking for a class that takes place in the water but that is a bit more rigorous, this aqua aerobics class is perfect because it provides a more challenging workout.
