This time of year, you can never be sure what the weather will do next. This can make planning an outdoor workout difficult and maybe even a little muddy. One great way to mix up your routine is to take advantage of the beautiful 4-lane indoor pool we have at the Redwood Club. Whether you go to swim laps on your own time or join us for one of our regularly scheduled classes, exercising in a pool provides a great way to break up the monotony of your routine and is a low-impact alternative for other types of cardio work.

We offer Aqua Aerobics on Monday- Friday at 10:15 am, Monday and Friday evenings at 6pm, and Saturdays at 10am. This is a great way to get a workout, especially if you are recovering from an injury or have joint pain. You do not need to know how to swim to participate in this class. If you’d like to kick it up a notch, join us for Aqua Zumba every Wednesday at 10:15. This is a group class that combines the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines. Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a safe, challenging, water-based workout that’s cardio-conditioning, body-toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief. We also offer a Sports Conditioning class in the pool for those looking for a more challenging aqua aerobics experience. For more more information on when you can join us for a group class in the pool, check out our schedule at:

If group exercise isn’t really your thing, hop in the pool and swim some laps! This is a great way to get a full-body workout with minimal impact. Swimming laps is a great way to stay in shape while recovering from injury or surgery. Our pool is open to both experienced swimmers and members looking to add a new element to their routine.

Swimming and aqua aerobics are great ways to stay in shape when you can’t count on a good hike or trail run to help keep your routine from growing stale. For more questions about any of our class offerings or facility, drop by the service desk today.
